At Anglia Region Theatre School (ARTS) in Newton Flotman, we’re absolutely thrilled to celebrate a remarkable achievement by eight of our incredible students. After weeks of dedication, passion, and hard work, these young performers successfully auditioned and took to the stage in the UK Touring production of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang at the iconic Theatre Royal Norwich.
This wasn’t just any audition. These young talents were challenged with learning professional-level choreography and complicated routines—skills far beyond their years. Yet, when the curtain rose, they wowed both audiences and critics alike. The glowing reviews flooded in, with one local newspaper praising their performance, stating, "The children from the Anglia Region Theatre School were simply fantastic."
While their on-stage performance was nothing short of spectacular, the experience extended far beyond just the spotlight. For our ARTS kids, the opportunity to step into the professional theatre world gave them memories they will treasure for a lifetime. From exploring the backstage world, rubbing shoulders with seasoned performers, to enjoying dinner with the cast—this was a once-in-a-lifetime experience they’ll never forget. And the cherry on top? Seeing their names in print, forever immortalized in the official Chitty Chitty Bang Bang show programme.
